Music is an integral element of worship at the Church of Saint Agnes. Five of the six weekend Masses are sung:
- Saturday at 5:10PM -- cantor & organ
- Sunday at 11AM -- professional schola, motets and some polyphonic Mass parts
- Sunday at 12:30PM -- professional schola, motets and congregational Mass parts
- Sunday at 5PM in Spanish -- cantor & organ
- Sunday at 7PM -- volunteer choir
The Schola Cantorum of Saint Agnes sings for the 11AM and 12:30PM Masses on Sundays throughout the year, accompanied by pipe organs by Mander and Klop. The Schola comprises a professional quartet, though extra singers are used for special liturgies. Repertoire includes plainchant, Renaissance polyphony, and motets from later historical styles.
The Parish Choir sings for the 7PM Mass on Sundays from mid-September to late May. The rehearsal is at 6PM. This is an auditioned group and the ability to read music is required. Prospective members are encouraged to contact the Director of Music to arrange for an audition.
