Dear Parishioners and Friends,
The Resurrection brings us life coming from Life Himself, Jesus Christ.
Lent is finished, we were challenged and we tried to work hard and sacrifice and God saw our prayers and our efforts. Let us be thankful for the gifts He grants us -especially the gift of Eternal Life. Easter Sunday is the time to recognize this gift and be glad for His mercy.
As we turn towards the happy days of Eastertide, let us consider how we’ll use Lent as a springboard for the rest of the liturgical year.
•Come to Mass during the week.
•Make Confession a regular habit (once a month).
•Consider abstaining from meat on Friday, a longtime Catholic tradition.
•Spend a few minutes with the Blessed Sacrament at St. Agnes any weekday afternoon.
These tools work all year long and St. Agnes Church is here to help us grow closer to Jesus.
Along with Bishop O’Hara, Fr. Brisson, and Fr. Francis, as well as the staff and volunteers of St. Agnes, I wish each of you a wonderful, joyous Easter season.
In God’s Love,
Fr. Michael
